I'm not positive, but this looks like Variscite to me. It looks like Variscite to several other lapidaries, too, but not like Variscite to others. The green areas are dark and highly occluded, and distinctly separated by a brownish matrix. No matter what its identification, this is an unusual and visually striking cabochon! Dimensions: 42mm x 26.5mm x 7.5mm. Weight: 62.60 carats. |
