Okay, I have to say I'm not happy about the way this cabochon turned out. This Gold Ridge Rhyolite is neat-looking stuff, but the whitish floaters are softer than the matrix, and I ended up with a slight undercut in the two large floaters. You can't see it unless you look closely, but you can feel the flattening of the larger one if you let your fingers do the walking. Dimensions: 39mm x 29mm x 6mm; cab has a flat girdle. Weight: 39.00 carats. |
