I thought this was stained glass, but my source says this is actually "slag" from iron operations back in the 1950s. Whatever it may be (and I have more of this to cut), the bright red waves make this a standout cabochon! The white "dots" near the bottom are tiny bubbles which still have some polish in them. Dimensions: 33mm x 22.5mm x 6.5mm. Weight: 32.00 carats. |
