This rock is known locally, along with other rock found in the spillings of coal mines, as "Brookwood Stone." It is 10% chert and 90% Quartz. This one has a good deal of chatoyance; it also has a small healed fracture hiding behind the lower light relection. So it's value-priced! Dimensions: 25mm x 20mm x 6mm. Weight: 20.50 carats. |
