I don't know WHAT this is! It's sparkly but not very. This material is very, very soft, and will not take a shine. It has some even softer pinkish spots as you can see in the photo. But Gloria liked it, so I'm keeping it. One friend says it looks to her like Lepidolite with Tourmaline spots in it.
